Robonav Software Development:
Georgia Tech Robojackets

I serve as a software team member on Georgia Tech’s Robojackets Robonav subteam. This team competes in the University Rover Challenge, and I am currently working on the rover arm elements for the team.

What is Robonav?

Robonav is a division of the main robotics team at Georgia Tech, Robojackets. The Robonav division focuses on the University Rover Challenge where teams build rovers that can traverse terrain, analyze samples, scan surroundings, and more. In this year’s design, a drone element will be implemented in the autonomous vehicle portion to travel to specific checkpoints in the competition.

How do I contribute to the Team?

This semester, I will be working as a part of the robot arms team as well as learning CMake and ROS2 to help on the general coding side of things. Currently, the team is awaiting the CAD models of the arms from the mechanical team to begin work, but I am already starting work on learning CMake and ROS2.
