Georgia Tech Extended Reality

Augmented Reality is a really cool real world experience as it meshes technology and real life. The whole concept of it is so cool!

What is GT Extended Reality (GTXR)?

GTXR is a project-based program as I sectioned off to work on a specific project focused on our school’s Kendeda building. The building is renowned as a zero energy, zero water, and zero waste building that is incredibly energy efficient. This team focuses on turning the building into an interactive experience.

What do I do as a part of GTXR?

My goal on this project is to implement Unity and turn the experience of walking through the building into an interactive experience. As people walk through the building, I walk to make out landmarks that can be detected through unity to pop up text and little animations that help to explain the energy-efficient parts of the building and show how sustainable the building is. I am directly working with higher level students to develop this project.
